Welcome back to Byronz. Or should we say Bienvenue à BistroByronz. It’s been awhile since our original restaurants closed their doors and served the last Big Byronz sandwich and bowl of Corn and Shrimp Soup to our friends and family in Baton Rouge. But we, as we hear from many of you, have not forgotten. Thanks for that inspiration! It’s why, after almost 20 years, we’re happy to be back in Baton Rouge with a brand new neighborhood restaurant that will bring all of you of what’s good from the Byronz we all remember, together with what we think is some real good, new food and fun at BistroByronz.

Why BistroByronz you say? Well, you may remember us for our famous eat-in and take-out lunches. Now we hope you will come to know us and love us both day and night—as the new definition of a Louisiana Bistro (bistro: an unpretentious neighborhood restaurant where people gather day and night to relax, share conversation and enjoy good food at a reasonable price). From our bistro-casual eat-in and take-out lunch menu, to our new bistro-fare and full-service dinner and drinks experience, we think we’ve got just the perfect recipe that combines what was good about Byronz with what’s real good about a classic French bistro. Topped off with some of that special Louisiana spice. You’ll notice it in the feel of the place itself, the casual, but attentive service, and of course in the menu.

Yes, we still remember the Byronz promise of “Homemade is Good” and many of your favorites dishes will be coming back—like Byronz bread, fresh and hot sandwiches (the Big Byronz), savory soups (Corn and Shrimp), special salads (the Byronz Chef), decadent deserts (Heavenly Hash) and home-fried to order potato chips. Along with all of that, we’ve taken it up a notch, so to speak, with our dinner menu of “Good. Real Good” food—from Steak Frites, to Chicken Paillard, Sesame-crusted Tuna and beaucoup more. Not to mention our BistroBar, which will offer our one-of-a-kind Byronz Freeze, a large selection of wines by the glass, and of course, real cold beer on tap.

BistroByronz will be the place in our great city where people and families of all kinds can come together—for lunch, dinner and drinks—to enjoy one another’s company and feel free to catch up, linger, have a business meeting, laugh…and just hang out. Most importantly, we hope we’ve built a place where you will feel that you’re part of what’s Good. Real Good. That’s our promise to ourselves. To all of you who have known us.
